Micropuncture, also called microneedling, micropicking, mesopuncture, mesoneedling or mesopicking.

micro-needling_lea_2

The technique:
A device resembling a big pen triggers a single-use sterile end piece to vibrate. It has very short and thin filled needles. These needles make multiple micro holes on the surface of the skin, through which the active products penetrate the skin. The speed is adjustable and mainly the depth of the micro needles penetration, from 0.5 to 2.5 mm.

The effects:
It is a very efficient medical technique for skin surface treatment.

Indications :
Mainly damaged skin, surface wrinkles: all scars, particularly from acne, hypertrophic scars, keloid scars, stretch marks, fine lines...

Also as a surface anti-ageing treatment: neck, neckline, oval of the face, cheeks, crow’s feet...

Method:
4 sessions one month apart.

Advantages:
It’s a large improvement compared to rollers: the needling is much thinner, more precise and directional and it does not damage the skin. It has a double efficacy :

- On the one hand, the needling induces collagenesis by skin fibroblast

- On the other hand the micro holes enable the skin to absorb the active products, especially during the session but also in the following 3 to 4 days.

Results are observed by the patient 3 weeks after the first session, corresponding to the production of collagen by the fibroblasts.
Compared to mesolift, microneedling is more diffused, more superficial and has more of a covering effect.

Contraindication:
Any on-going skin infection.

Side-effects:
Temporary skin redness for a few hours. The deeper the adjustment, the more efficient the procedure is at the possible cost of a slight temporary rash.

Fees:
They can vary according to the active products used, around 140 € per session.
